So a couple days ago I finally got a new lens! I got a Canon 50mm f1.4. I am so excited about this! I have already been out taking pictures and I love the results!

I've been talking to my dad about getting a new and better camera and it's all in the works to happen. I know it will seem like a jump, but I will be upgrading to a Canon 5D Mark II, which I'm really excited about. And the best thing is at my college, students can check out one of those for a day or weekend if they have a related class, such as I do, so I've been checking it out the past two weekends and I love using it. I still have a lot to learn about it, but I know that I will learn.

The only problem is it is freakin $2,500! My dad and I struck a deal that he would loan me the money to buy it, but it's still gonna take like 3 years to pay back...

I'm in a photojournalism class this quarter and talking to the people I take photos of is what I'm having trouble with. Other than that I am fine. I just need to learn how to talk to strangers.
